Investment Objective

CIMB Islamic AP Eqty aims to achieve long term capital appreciation and income while complying with Islamic investment criteria, through investments in shares listed in the stock exchanges in the emerging and developed markets of Japan, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Philipines, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.


Investment Strategies

  • 50% - 98% of the NAV of the Fund can be invested in Shariah permissible
         shares, stock, warrant, option or other stock purchase right, participation in a
         mutual fund and other interests in collective investment schemes, through
         investments in shares listed in the stock exchanges in the emerging and
         developed markets of Japan, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Korea, China, Indonesia,
         Malaysia, India, Thailand, Philipines, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Australia and New
         Zealand.


  • Up to 50% of the Fund may also invest into Shariah-compliant revenue
         generating instrument, bond, note, debenture, debenture stock, debt security,
         financing, financing convertible into security, warrant, certificates of deposit,
         commercial paper, promissory note, gold, treasury bill, fixed or floating rate debt
         instrument, index futures, index and any other security (all of the foregoing
         denominated in any currency) or any other money market instrument which may
         be selected by the Managers for the purpose of investment of the assets.

         long term investment horizon.

    Sub Fund Manager - UOB Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd
     
    Switching Policy - The minimum amount for each switch is RM1,000 and is available to any of the Funds (except money market fund) offered by CIMB-Principal. Switching from one fund to another may be subject to switching fees.
