The Prudential Fixed Maturity Fund is a 3-year close-ended fund that aims to provide capital growth upon
maturity by investing in fixed income (such as bonds), which have the same tenure as the fund.

The value of stability
Bonds have historically provided a higher total return than cash-equivalent Unit Trusts, and generally have been much less volatile than stocks. However, ordinary investors may not readily have access to bonds. This fund provides a feasible access to the bond market, allowing them to meet their medium-term investment objectives affordably.
Diversify with Prudential Fixed Maturity Fund
Throughout the 3-year tenure, the Fund aims to provide capital growth. Think of the Prudential Fixed Maturity Fund as a complement to your overall existing investment portfolio and a tactical means to provide medium-term opportunities. The Fund may also derive profit and income from debt securities such as bonds issued by the Government and Malaysian companies which are listed on the Bursa Malaysia.
Become disciple of diversification - it's a cliché, but putting all your eggs in one basket can be a costly strategy if a particular part of the market under performs. When you diversify your portfolio, you can reduce risk with a fund that aims to provide you with potential capital growth with lower risks compared to the stock market.
Limited units for a limited time
The Fund is limited to 300 million units priced at RM0.5000 each and is only open for subscription from September 09, 2004 to October 23, 2004. The Fund may close earlier once it is fully subscribed.
