Investment Objective

The Fund's investment objective is to seek to provide investors with long-term growth of capital through a diversified international portfolio based on a global thematic construct investing in marketable securities, primarily equity securities, including common stocks, preferred stocks, warrants and debt securities convertible into common stocks.

Investment Policies and Strategies

The Fund will invest principally in the DWS Global Themes Equity Fund.

When the investment in the DWS Global Equity Themes Fund does not meet the objective of the Fund, the Fund may choose to replace it with another collective investment scheme with similar objectives.

Investment Focus & Approach of the Sub-Fund
It has a unique investment strategy that takes on a global equity thematic construct aiming to develop a portfolio diversified across a variety of themes that can be divided into three camps: strong markets, weak markets, and "any" markets (i.e., generally uncorrelated to markets).

Each theme in the fund is developed as a result of data collection and examination, which is used to identify exploitable trends. Each has certain statistical properties for which can be screened and consequently generate investment candidates.

Asset Allocation:

• 95% - 100% of the NAV of the Fund in a collective investment scheme.


• 0% - 5% of the NAV of the Fund in cash or cash equivalent.
