UOB Seremban Unveils New Look and Privilege Banking Centre
Kuala Lumpur, 15 February 2008 - United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd [UOB (Malaysia)] unveiled its newly renovated Seremban branch. After an extensive face-lift since last year, this branch boast of a new look and a swanky UOB Privilege Banking Centre - complete with private meeting rooms equipped with Internet facility, real-time Bloomberg stock updates, and an exclusive lounge for discussion.
During the unveiling ceremony, Mr Chan Kok Seong, Director and Chief Executive Officer of UOB (Malaysia), said, "UOB Seremban branch's brand new look is designed to provide our valued customers with added convenience and total comfort when banking with us. Besides infrastructure improvement, we aim to deliver personalized financial service to our loyal and valued customers. The new Privilege Banking Centre is part of the world of privileges accorded for our affluent customers in Seremban."
UOB (Malaysia) has been an integral part of the Seremban community for the past 46 years (since 1962), since the heyday of Lee Wah Bank on Jalan Yam Tuan (previously known as Paul Street) and its subsequent relocation to the present branch at Jalan Dato Lee Fong Yee. Since its merger with UOB (Malaysia) in 1994, the Seremban branch has continued to thrive and grew in tandem with the town's development.
In recognizing the customers' continuous support over the years, Mr Chan took the opportunity to thank each one of them for the tremendous support extended to UOB (Malaysia). "We hope to be here for many more years to come and grow alongside with you - the Seremban community - and your town," added Mr Chan. He also presented tokens of appreciation to several long-time customers.
Mr Chan and Ms Ho Fong Kun, Branch Manager of UOB Seremban together with senior management unveiled the newly-renovated branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. UOB (Malaysia) wishes the customers a prosperous year ahead with mandarin oranges and God of Prosperity was seen blessing everyone with luck for the Year of Rat!
