What is UOB Access?

UOB Access is a digital security token embedded in your smartphone for convenient authentication of Personal Internet Banking and UOB TMRW (mobile banking) transactions as an alternative to SMS-OTP.

UOB Access is available via the UOB TMRW App. For more information on UOB TMRW App, click here.

There are no charges for using UOB Access.

Registration

  • UOB Access provides enhanced security and convenience to authenticate your banking transactions via Personal Internet Banking and UOB TMRW. With UOB Access, you no longer need to wait to receive SMS-OTPs and key them in.
  • For enhanced security, all open transactions of RM10,000 and above performed via Personal Internet Banking and UOB TMRW must be authenticated with UOB Access from 19 November 2018 onwards.

All UOB customers with Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW access and who have a registered mobile number with UOB Malaysia can register for UOB Access.

To register for UOB Access, download UOB TMRW App from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Launch UOB TMRW App and tap on Secure. Follow the on-screen instructions to register. You would need your UOB credit/debit card number and PIN, OR registered email on PIB to register.

Yes, you may still register for UOB Access via email OTP. If you do not have a registered email or would like to update your email, please visit UOB Branch or mail us this form.
Alternatively, if you don't remember your debit/credit card PIN, you can reset it as follows:

  • Login to Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW or you may contact our UOB Contact Centre at (603) 26128 121 for assistance.

Using UOB Access

UOB Access 6-digit Code is an additional layer of security to identify that you are the authorised person to authenticate Personal Internet Banking and UOB TMRW transactions such as fund transfers, adding beneficiaries, changing credit card PIN, updating personal particulars and changing transaction limit requested by you. A UOB Access code is also needed when you launch the UOB Access to manually generate a One-Time Password.

You would need to remove UOB Access from your smartphone and register again.

Yes, you can. However, for enhanced security, all open transactions of RM10,000 and above via Personal Internet Banking and UOB TMRW must be authenticated with UOB Access.

When you perform a transaction via Personal Internet Banking, you will receive a push notification on the smartphone you registered for UOB Access during the confirmation page. Tap on the notification and UOB TMRW will launch with a pop-up on the transaction details. Check and confirm that the transaction details are correct before tapping the “Confirm” button on the pop-up to proceed. Key in your UOB Access code to complete the transaction.

If you perform a transaction via UOB TMRW in a UOB Access registered smartphone, UOB Access will be automatically prompted at the transaction confirmation screen. Check and confirm that the transaction details are correct before tapping the “Confirm” button to proceed. Key in your UOB Access code to complete the transaction.

It may be due to poor network connectivity or you may have turned off notifications for UOB TMRW. If you log in via Personal Internet Banking, follow the on-screen instructions on how to generate a One-Time Password (OTP) or Transaction Signing Code to authenticate your transactions via Personal Internet Banking.

For non-financial transactions For financial transactions
  • Launch UOB Access app
  • Select “One-Time-Password”
  • Enter the 8-digit One-Time-Password that appears into your Personal Internet Banking screens before the timer expires
  • Launch UOB Access app
  • Select “One-Time-Password”
  • Select “Transaction Signing” and key in the 8-digit Challenge Code shown on your Personal Internet Banking screen
  • Key in the 8-digit Transaction Signing Code generated into your Personal Internet Banking screens before the time expires

You will not be able to transact via UOB TMRW if the network connectivity is poor.

Yes, you can by launching UOB TMRW App and tapping on UOB Access. To generate a One-Time Password, follow the steps detailed in our step-by-step guide above.

General enquiries

You can only register for UOB Access using one smartphone. If you register using a new smartphone, UOB Access will be deregistered automatically from the old smartphone.

You should call UOB Contact Centre at (603) 26128 121 to deregister your UOB Access from your lost smartphone. Alternatively, by registering for UOB Access on your new smartphone, UOB Access will be deregistered automatically from your lost smartphone.

No, you can’t opt to receive SMS-OTP if you have a login to your Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW session with UOB Access. However, you can re-login to a new Personal Internet Banking session and opt to receive SMS-OTP to authenticate your transactions with SMS-OTP.

You can’t opt to receive SMS-OTP if you log in via UOB TMRW on a UOB Access registered smartphone.
